Tejas Beanie
Tejas in Sanskrit means illumination or brightness, the way fire illuminates a dark night. I have used night blue and red and orange yarn to interpret the same in my Tejas Beanie.
Tejas is a stranded colourwork beanie made with fingering weight/4 ply yarn. It uses 3 colours with the main colour being used throughout the knitting process and the contrast colours being used alternately to give it a variegated effect. You can go up a needle size or down a needle size to fit your preferred head circumference.
Size: It measures 20”-21”(51cms-54cms) in circumference and 8.5”(22cms) in length with 2.75mm needles.
For bigger or smaller size beanie, smaller(2.5mm) or larger size(3mm) needle can be used.
Gauge in pattern or stranded stockinette: 34 sts and 36 rows in 4”(10cms).
Yarn and yardage: Knit Picks palette in 3 colours have been used.
- Main colour: 97 mtrs/106yds.
