Tellina is the Latin name of a group of seashells commonly found along our shores. It was adopted for this pattern because the neutrals and pink of the Clarissa colourway are reminiscent of their soft shades.

Pattern notes
This cowl is knit in the round, in a combination of broken rib, stocking stitch and slipped stitches. For experienced knitters it will be a breeze to knit. And it’s totally doable for inexperienced knitters, too. The only skills needed are casting on, knitting and purling in the round, and binding off. A tip for neater stripes is included in the pattern.

Yarn
1 set of 5 mini-skeins of Manos del Uruguay ‘Fino’. The colourways shown here are FM3 Clarissa (neutrals & pink) and FM6 Flora (blues & greens).
