The Temperance Hat is the 9th pattern in my 12-pattern Fruit of the Spirit Collection. This is a beautiful beanie that incorporates knit, purl, cables, purl ridges, and a button. Pattern offers two crown options and bonus instructions to make a matching pair of fingerless mitts out of the leftovers.

Yarn requirements are one skein of dk weight, approx. 230 yards. Pattern recommends Kelpie dk.

Gauge is 5.5 stitches to the inch in stockinette stitch on a US 6. Finished hat size is 18” circumference for 20-22” head with 2-4” of negative ease. The mitts have three circumference sizes: small 6.5”, medium 7.5”, and large 8.5” and are meant to be worn with about 1” of negative ease.
