Temple and Arch
A top-down triangular shawl, with an architectural lace pattern that emerges smoothly from a solid stockinette foundation. Geometric diamonds and angles give way to smooth arches on the bottom edge, accentuated by the little peaks of the picot BO.
This is a charted pattern. All stitches and notations used are explained, as are the triangular construction techniques.
Thanks to the Corgi Hill Farm fan group for testing this pattern! I designed it especially to pair with a gradient yarn hand spun from CHF fiber, but it would look stunning in a solid or variegated as well. Some testers even used two contrasting colours.
Gauge is not critical, though it will affect yardage used and final measurements.
Inspired by and named from Neil Gaiman’s marvelous Neverwhere.
