This design is  inspired by the book “Diez Mujeres” (Ten Women), written by Marcela Serrano.
They are 9 women of different age, cultural level, financial situation and social status who have nothing in common apart from their psychotherapist (the tenth woman). One day the psychotherapist call all of them together in her office and every one tells the story of her life.

The shawl does feature nine different motifs, each of them connected to the other by the same lace motif (the tenth).
It is worked sideways starting with a few sts from the top corner, it does have an asymmetric triangular shape.

The sample in the picture above has been knit with 919 yd / 840 m of fingering weight 100 % wool (437 yd / 400 m on 3.53 oz / 100 g) and needles size 3.75 mm - US size 5.

Finished measurements of the sample in the picture above: 71.65“ / 182 cm along the top edge, 27.16“ / 69 cm from neck to bottom point.

Gauge: 17 sts x 24.5 rows on 4” / 10 cm in stockinette st., after blocking.
