My sample has been made with a 8 mm (L-11) and 300 g (690 m / 756 yds) super bulky weight yarn and my gauge was:

4 group of 3 dc and 5 rows = 4 inches (10 cm).

But gauge is not important for this pattern.
You choose the crochet hook and yarn in order to give the desired airy texture, drape and size.

With the given materials and gauge, the shawl measurements are:

208 cm (82 inches) wide and 93 cm (36 inches) long
