It starts with a plain stockinette section which transform through interrupted garter stitch into a garter stitch border.

One US 7 / 4.5 mm circular needle (or size to obtain gauge), 32 “ / 80 cm or longer to accommodate the large number of stitches, 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle
