Teroldego
Tereldego is now available as an individual download! Kits in a variety of color combinations are available from Knotty Lamb and Magpie Fibers.
A huge thank you to Knotty Lamb for inviting me to design this shawl and to Magpie Fibers for the gorgeous and inspiring yarn!
Pattern Notes:
Teroldego is an asymmetrical triangle shawl featuring lace, colorwork, bobbles and stripes. The edges have a narrow garter edge, which allows for a slightly unfinished, rolling finish inspired by runway trends.
MATERIALS
Yarn:
Magpie Swanky Sock,
80% superwash Merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon
378 yards 346 meters/115 grams

C2: Castaway (lighter grey beige)
C3: Mesa (rust)
Yardage:
C1: 378 yards 346 meters
C2: 378 yards 346 meters
C3: 378 yards 346 meters
Note that yardage usage may vary if your yarn or gauge
differs.
Needles:
US 4/3.5 mm, 32” 80 cm circulars or longer to
accommodate sts
Other Notions: stitch marker, tapestry needle
Gauge: 25 sts and 33 rows over 4” 10 cm after blocking
in both colorwork and stockinette
Swatch both colorwork and stockinette as you may need
to change needle sizes to maintain an even gauge. You
should always knit your swatch the same way that the
pattern is knit—in this case, back and forth. Block your
swatch as you will your finished garment and allow it to
dry fully before measuring.
This shawl is named after the wonderful Teroldego wine we sampled at Montinore Estate at the release party for this design. It is a perfect, oversized yet lightweight wrap for throwing over a breezy summer dress at a wine tasting, a stroll on the beach or a dinner on the veranda.
