Hats are without a doubt my favorite one skein project. They’re a fun way to try out new yarns and techniques.

I’ve been following Prado de Lana for some time and had been wanting to try their yarn. This year I took a spontaneous drive up to the New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Fest, met Amanda in person and purchased a skein of her farm’s lovely yarn.

I chose Terrance, a dk weight CVM/Romeldale in a lovely natural shade. CVM is a favorite of mine, it’s springy and spongy and a joy to knit with. (The Prado de Lana Romney dk will also work for this pattern)

The Terrance hat is knit from the brim up. I knit a nice deep ribbing that could be folded over. The ribbing is followed by a fun cable pattern. Directions are written and charted.
