Terrific Topless Mitts
I wanted a quick pattern to use for gifts and designed this mitt pattern years ago. I have made many of these hand warmers and all of the recipients have enjoyed them.
-The mitt is worked in a k1, p1, ribbing with an easy cable pattern inserted down the back of the hand.
-In photo’s the bright red pair, shows the palm of the hand side.
-Clear directions are given for when to start the gusset stitches, as well as, when to finish the gusset and how.
-Directions for the cable are written out clearly.
-I have written directions for both the right and left hand out for you to follow.
SIZE: I wear them and so do my teenage granddaughters. They are 13 and 16. Model in picture is in her 30’s.
YARN NEEDED: 2-3 oz of a super bulky yarn(106 yds/6 ounce skein). Like Wool-ease Thick and Quick.
NOTIONS: Cable needle; one set of size US 10.5(6.5 mm) double pointed needles; stitch marker; row counter; safety pin.
