The Cowlor Wheel collection is perfect for last minute gifts. All of the patterns in this collection are worked using BULKY yarn, so you can knit them at top speed. Don’t have BULKY in your stash, try holding 2 or 3 strands of a lighter weight yarn together.
The Tertiary Cowl is the third pattern in the Cowlor Wheel collection. When mixing a tertiary color, you must have just the right amounts of primary and secondary colors. Like a tertiary color, the Tertiary cowl is about creating the right blend of elements: color, line, and yardage. THIS IS A ONE SKEIN PROJECT, making it fast and economical! Yippee! This cowl uses slipped stitches, increases, decreases, and a touch of lace to create a clean design that is fun to wear. It is a great knit for beginning knitters, and a quick knit for more advanced knitters. Use the eyelets along each edge as buttonholes to get the perfect fit. The Tertiary cowl is knit flat from one end to the other. You begin by working a slipped stitch motif, followed by an easy-to-memorize triangle motif. Bonus: this cowl can easily be lengthened to make a scarf, and I have provided yardage information to help you customize the length. Knit in BULKY yarn, this pattern is an excellent knit for last minute gifts.
