Tess
Mosaic overlay pattern.
Tess is created by using five different designs laid out in a geometric pattern. I added a splash of colour for the border as a way to frame Tess. If you’re making Tess as a gift the border is a great opportunity to pick up an accent colour in a room, or just because it’s someone’s favourite colour.
The pattern has a 30 stitch repeat so the width and length can be adapted to your needs.
While Tess make look like a random design, there is repetition and order. To provide a seamless join from one chart to the next, the first row of the new chart is adapted to suit. These instructions have been provided in both chart and written instructions, depending on your preference.
If you are used to keeping track of charts on your electronic device and just want to crochet without turning pages, the full chart including all the joining stitches is available on Stitch Fiddle and a link is provided in the pattern.
