Tess Women's 1-Row Striped Pullover
Yes, that’s right! This pullover has 1-row stripes in multiple colours that are not worked consecutively in a monotonous repeat. Further, the contrast-colours are set against a neutral background of 1-row stripes, to ensure that they are not overpowering. It’s the perfect stash-buster in which you can even use the small amounts of precious yarn in your stash. This is all made possible by the new and simple “Ouroboros” technique by which ugly colour-change jogs at the seam can be avoided.
The pullover has elegant raglan sleeves. Waist and crewneck shaping are added for a tailored fit. It is knitted in the round from the bottom up, so there’s only a small seam under the armhole to sew up. Still, you must be able to manage 5 colours, and although the yarn is not cut when changing colours, there are tail ends to weave in after the knitting is complete.
The pattern is simple to follow. And although the stripes appear random, there is a system to it, which makes the knitting easier than it looks. For your convenience, there are separate instructions in an attractive layout for each size (36, 38, 40, 42, 44 and 46).
The light knitted fabric in fingering weight wool will keep you comfortably warm. For women who desire elegance in daily life.
Comments of knitters:
“When my daughter saw it for the first time, she asked if it was store bought! Yes, the jumper looks very polished with its neatly “random” stripes, yet it has the feel and fit of being handmade.“
”I now have a new favourite sweater. These are the clearest, most in-depth instructions I have ever seen.“
