This pattern is available for free.

The stranded colourwork hat was designed as a freebie in honour of the ClickforBabies campaign.

It’s a quick knit, and a great small project to try colourwork.
A link to the tutorial for the cast-on used is included.

Supplies:
15g / 45 yards Main Colour Yarn, DK Weight (MC) 5g / 15 yards Contrast Colour,
DK Weight (CC) Darning needle for weaving ends
US 6 / 4.00 mm needles – Circulars or DPN’s

Gauge:
6 stitches and 9 rows per inch after blocking; the hat will measure 5.5 inches by 6.5 inches after blocking but unstretched. It will stretch to 15 inches around.

The cast-on and ribbing instructions are written, the stranded colourwork section is fully charted, and the decreases are written.

This pattern has not been test knit by anyone other than myself, so if it’s confusing or you spot any errors, please let me know. I’ll be glad to update the pattern for clarification or with errata.
