Tevennec Raglan Yoke
The body this raglan pullover is worked from the top down in the round (meaning you can try it on as you go and add length to suit your own personal style!). beginning with the collar folded or not and then flowing into yoke’s Rib. The yoke is shaped along the large raglans for a classic style. The sleeves are then returned to the needle, picking up stitches for the underarm for a totally seamless sweater!
This design is all about the fit, the details and the clean, simple ribbing lines. The timeless aesthetic of this piece will work with most body types and styles. The rib contours to the body in a really flattering way. With a stylish cropped length for a top or vest to a sweater that is easily customized. Three sleeves length options: short, mid, and long. Sleeves are worked from the top down using short rows to shape the sleeve caps. Adjust the length of the sleeves and the body easily to fit your personal style!
Techniques to Indulge In: Top down, seamless sweater construction, saddle shoulder shaping, stockinette stitch, ribbing, working flat and in the round, casting on and binding off.
I have fallen in love with this design! Ribbing creates a deep line that has a lot of stretch to it but also looks clean and polished hugging the upper body for a flattering fit, It feels like I’m wearing a cozy sweatshirt! You’ll reach for this sweater again and again on late nights and lazy Sunday mornings.
Construction:
Pullover is knitted in the round in rib 1x1 from the top down, some short rows are done for back shaping after the collar. Yoke is knit with a modified saddle shoulder/raglan sleeve, beginning by working increases at the Front nd Back only, then working increases at the sleeves only, then finally working increases at the Front, Back, and sleeves at the same times. After separation for body and sleeves underarm sts are cast on. Body is knit straight to rib hem. Each raglan has a 10 stitches border or band and there are no increases in that band. So it goes: Back, 10sts raglan, sleeve, 10sts raglan, Front, 10sts raglan, sleeve, 10sts raglan.
