Level 2 Advanced (angle stitches)

Looking for a unique and special crochet pattern for the Texas enthusiast in your life? Look no further than this Texas mosaic crochet blanket pattern! This mosaic overlay crochet design includes the Lone Star, the state of Texas, bats from the region, and a view of the Austin skyline. This blanket is sure to be a gift that will be cherished for years to come!

This mosaic crochet pattern is an advanced skill level and is recommended for crocheters with experience in mosaic overlay crochet. Detailed instructions, photos, and video tutorials will guide you through each step of the project. With a little bit of patience and practice, you’ll be a pro in no time!

If you are new to angle stitches, I highly recommend trying them first with this free Heart Mug Rug pattern. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/heart-mug-rug-2 This small 7”x 7” project is a great introduction to my angle notation system and includes my full stitch key.

Written for Mosaic Overlay Crochet, this pattern includes:
• Charts
• Written Pattern
• Detailed Instructions packet
• Stitch Key
• Photo tutorials
• Video tutorials for each type of stitch used in the patterns

Size: 38”x 45”
Size will vary depending on yarn weight and hook.
This calculation was based on weight 3 DK yarn and hook size of 3.75mm. Gauge: 5 stitched and 5 rows=1 inch

Yarn:
Color A- 1362 yds (Design Color)
Color B- 1511 yds (Background Color)
2” Double Border – 639 yds

This pattern is divided into 6 sections (the chart sections are 7 pages each) and is worked from the bottom up. I would suggest using the Knit Companion app (my personal preference as it is brilliant and saves on printer ink and paper), but I have also included layout instructions if you prefer to print out your pages. The written pattern sections correlate with the charts so they can be used together.

I have added an updated stitch key with more photos and video tutorial to help you master angled stitches!
