One of my “nieces” is heading out to UCLA in the fall so I wanted to make her a little something to make her dorm room a bit homier. And I also wanted to send her a subtle reminder…

The pillows here are 16” square using an H hook and Euro Baby - Babe Softcotton Chunky yarn. I chose colors to match UCLA’s school colors. I believe the pattern should work with most chunky yarns and obviously in any color combination. Gauge isn’t critical.

For these two pillows I used 2 skeins of Euro Baby - Babe Softcotton Chunky in Aquamarine; 2 skeins in Banana; and 1 skein in white.

I also decided to use a zipper on one side of the pillows: 2 15” zippers were required; thread in coordinating colors to match yarn; two pillow forms (i found down ones on amazon that i liked better than polyfill).
