Ever since creating the Text(ure) Me sock series and cowl, I had been thinking about a blanket that used the same texture. However, since a blanket is knit flat instead of in the round, it had to be done a little differently. Here I take 7 colors of DK weight yarn and have alternating garter stitch and texture sections, which makes for a lovely, relaxing knit.

But I have written this pattern in a way that any weight and any amount of yarn can be used, as long as the starting amounts for all of the colors are similar. All you need is a scale to weigh your yarn before using, and at a few key points in the beginning of the blanket, to come up with your own personal numbers that you will use for the rest of the blanket. I walk you through this process and even provide space in the pattern to jot down all your numbers.
