Knit the textured & tapered cowl following the instructions or change it up as you wish! It’s easy to make changes as the stitch count is the same for all three patterns - no math required!

Maybe you love the textured pattern or the eyelet pattern and want to knit your cowl just in that pattern, simply cast on, work the garter edge, and start knitting the pattern stitch. When you reach your desired depth, work the garter edge, bind off and done!

If you wish to knit the crowns pattern only, you cast on 10 fewer sts, work the garter edge, then knit a round and increase 10 sts, work the crowns pattern until your desired depth, decrease 10 sts then work the garter edge. The reason for the increase/decrease is that the crowns pattern has a tighter gauge than garter stitch. If you do not do this shaping, the edges will flare.

The entire cowl is knitted with a strand of merino and mohair held together.
