These textured pants would look so cute on a boy or girl for a photography session or to actually wear with an outfit. The textured design not only looks cute, but adds some detail to the solid color pants and makes the pants pretty warm, depending on the yarn you choose.

These pants are easy to make with no color switching. It’s worked in the round, so there is no sewing pieces together. The new rounds start on the side so the “seam” is hidden whether you photograph baby from the front or back.

The pattern I’ve written is very detailed, using a combination of U.S. crochet terminology, English written notes, and color pictures to help explain what to do. If you can Double Crochet, I’ll show you how to make the other stitches I use, which are based on the Double Crochet stitch.

As a bonus, I’ll also show you how to finish the pant legs to make a diaper cover (last picture), so you get two patterns in one!

Optional Variations (not written into pattern):
- Leave off rows from the pant legs to make shorts of any length

Before you begin, you will need:
Soft Worsted Weight Yarn
Crochet hook H8/5mm
Yarn Needle and Scissors for finishing off.
