Textured Christmas Tree
Happy Christmas, my friends!
I love designing for holiday home decoration, and this “Textured Christmas Tree” is one of my favorites. When I work the pattern on Malabrigo Rios yarn it really comes to life somehow. I am so pleased with it.
The tree is designed to stand up straight on its own. You may need to press your thumb into the bottom area to help flatten it out after stuffing. It stands about 6 1/2 inches tall (16 1/2 cm), and 3 - 3 1/2 inches wide (9 - 10 1/2 cm).
Watch for the “Beaded Christmas Tree” version I’m creating for Ravelry using Berroco Vintage Yarn. It’s a Dazzler! :-)
This pattern starts with Jeremy’s Star Cast On. Go to www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW5G1HJ86_U on YouTube or search “Jeremy’s Star Cast On” or “Designs by Jeremy” to learn how.
You’ll be working in the round with 4-5 Double Pointed Needles (or a 32” circular needle) 3 sizes smaller than what’s recommended for your yarn.
