Textured Cowl
This is a textured cowl using ribbing, cables and seed stitch to create vertical interest. It slouches down a little when worn.
This can be made with a skein of your favourite worsted weight yarn, or you could substitute DK or fingering weight held double. If you’re using DK, you may want to go down to 3.5 mm needles instead, and you may want to add an additional pattern repeat (23 stitches).
Alternatively, you could try it in a bulky using larger needles (5.5 or 6.0 mm or whatever works for you) and omitting one of the pattern repeats.
The pattern calls for left twisted cables, but if you prefer right twisted cables, do that. You can use a cable needle or not, depending on your personal preference.
The pattern is a 6-row repeat, but again you could fiddle with it to make it taller (or shorter) as desired, as long as you remember to adjust the seed stitch columns.
