Materials Needed:
6.5mm Hook
Worsted #4 weight yarn - 290 yards total
Sewing needle
Scissors

Notes:
This pattern creates a 12.5 inch wide by 10.25 inch tall cowl.
This pattern is worked in joining rounds.
The “right side” is the more textured side, the back of the puff stitch.

Abbreviations & Terms - US terminology:
Ch - chain
Bb - back bump of chain
Sc - single crochet
Shell - double crochet 3 times in the same stitch
sDec - double crochet 3 together - special stitch explained below
Puff - 3 loop puff stitch
BLO - back loop only
YO - yarn over
Sk - skip
R - round
St - stitch
Sl St - slip stitch
* to * - repeat instructions between the * as many times as directed
Join - slip stitch into next stitch or chain as indicated
FO - finish off

sDec -YO, insert hook in next st, YO, pull through,YO, pull through 2 loops* repeat 2 more times, YO pull through all loops on hook

Puff - insert hook into st, yarn over (YO), pull up a loop,YO, insert hook in same st, YO, pull up a loop* repeat 1 more time, YO, pull through ALL loops on hook (Do not YO before starting this st. Do not Ch 1 after this st)

Gauge:
7 sc x 8 rows = 2x2”
