The cowl can easily be made from one skein of #5 weight yarn, but some yarns will require a small bit of a second skein. It also depends upon how large you want the cowl.

This cowl can also be made using a larger hook and thicker yarn.

The Headband can be made by many one skein handspun yarns.
The slouchy hat usually requires two skeins, depending upon the yarn.
The beanie may require just over one skein, depending upon the yarn.
