I love short socks. They are super quick to make.

These little beauties were born because I wanted to make some socks for my Dad. The Queensland weather doesn’t get too cold, so I thought some shorties would suit him.

I chose the Basket stitch pattern because it has a wonderful unisex detail. It’s also a fun pattern to knit. (just one more pattern repeat…)

UK shoe sizes 3 - 5 (6 - 8, 9 - 12)
Foot circumference 17.5 (20, 22.5)cm

32 sts and 44 rows to 10cm over pattern

2.5mm (1.5 US) long circular needles for Magic loop technique
Or 2.5mm (1.5 US) dpns.

Note - the most the largest pair uses is about 60g of 4ply/fingering sock yarn.
