Textured Tranquility
This pattern is perfect for those wanting to practice working in the round.
Washcloths are the perfect project for many purposes! Not only is the finished product pretty and useful (and compostable once it’s past it’s use by date), but it’s the perfect project for learning new stitches and new techniques. Ready to move from being a Dabbler to Stitchmaster? This one tests you out on combining two basic stitches. Or moving from Stitchmaster to Getting Hooked? Or test out your designer skills and turn the washcloth into something else.
This is my forth series of washcloths, with 12 in each series. This series we’re continuing to focus on a theme of either texture rounds or rows each month and learning something new with each one.
And the added bonus - if you enjoy making the washcloth I include instructions in the pattern for how to adjust it so that you can give it your own personalised touch. Your only limitations then are your imagination, yarn supply and time!
With this pattern, you’ll be able to add a one-of-a-kind touch to your home, making it a great gift for yourself or a loved one.
As with all my patterns, the written instructions include US and UK terms and written instructions for how to make each stitch. There is a also a picture guide to refer to as you’re making your washcloth too.
I use and recommend 100% cotton for all washcloths. My yarn of choice is KnitPicks Dishie.
This pattern uses single crochets and double crochet to create the design.
