A waffle type texture using two yarn weights and slips stitches. Only uses one yarn per row so no holding on to two yarns across the row. Can be altered by making it shorter or made completely in the round without the opening in the back after the flat section is finished. The break in the back is there to make the cowl less bulky on the back of the neck and under your coat. Great for gifts it knits up fast and easy. You can always add more rows or reduce/increase the pattern by 2 stitches to make a tighter or looser cowl.
