This quirky crochet backpack is called the Thang Thang Backpack. The idea is to ‘do your thang’ and pick your own colours and make your own colour combinations in order to create a unique backpack!

The double stranded stripes create a very colourful ensemble. I’d like to encourage you to experiment and combine different colours with multi-coloured ones!

You’ll first make the body of the bag which consists of two identical panels. Then you’ll make two super long cords that will function as your straps and lastly you’ll sew everything together.

The pattern is suitable for the adventurous beginner. The major part of the stitches you need to make consist of the double- and the single crochet stitch. I’ve made a photo tutorial to make it even easier.
