Thanks, It Has Pockets!
This infinity scarf pattern takes clever advantage of how double knitting works to include handy zipped pockets! In the large sections of solid colours, the two layers of the cowl lie separate from each other, which creates the pockets. But in between these solid parts are multicoloured sections which bind the two layers together and separate the pockets from each other. So you can put stuff into the pockets, confident that it’s going to stay put, and not slide all around the inside of the cowl and get lost! (Although small things like coins could get a little stuck, so you may want to avoid putting those inside.)
To wear: whether you want it draped from your neck in a single loop, or wrapped twice or three times around for super-warmth, make sure that the zippered pockets are facing up, so that nothing falls out when you unzip them!
