Another fun and interesting scarf pattern, for knitters who enjoy simple knits and purls, with impressive results!

Finished measurements: 6” wide x 72” long, after blocking.

Skills required are casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.

This pattern combines horizontal panels of simple and interesting textured stitches - including a garter rib, diagonal rib, and double moss stitch. Garter stitch edging is knit along with the scarf, so no finishing required (other than weaving in your ends, and blocking).

Materials: 400 yds worsted weight yarn, and size 7 needles.
Sample was knit with 2 skeins of Berroco Ultra Alpaca, color #6293 (Spiceberry Mix).

Recommended Gauge: 5 stitches and 7 rows = 1” in double moss stitch.

Change needle size as necessary, to achieve correct gauge and/or a fabric that you like.
Since this is a scarf, exact gauge is not critical. It will, however, affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.

Enjoy knitting this pattern, and please post photos of your finished scarves!
