Thanksknitting was written on Thanksgiving.

I was watching the leaves fall from the trees and I was thinking about how much I didn’t want to rake them up. So, I told myself, it’s a holiday, so I’m going to take the day to knit. Thank goodness for Thanksgiving and Knitting, hence, Thanksknitting.
Please feel free to knit this pattern as a way to get out of having to do yardwork. ;)

I used Twisted Stitches with two colours, combined with some basic stranded colourwork, to create the leaf pattern.

Size:

• Adult - Up to a 24” head circumference

Yarn Used:

• This pattern calls for 2 colours of a DK weight yarn. You’ll want 60g / 130 yards for the Main Colour (MC) and 30g / 65 yards of a Contrast Colour (CC).
• For My hat I used Colour Adventures Nalo DK in Blackberry (MC) and Laser Cats (CC). You can shop Nalo DK at the following link:

Needles:

• 3.50mm and 4.00mm needles on a 16” cord, plus 4.00mm DPN’s, or 4.00mm on a 40” cord for Magic Loop

Gauge:

• 21 sts / 4”

• Scissors

• Darning Needle
