That 70's Cowl
Inspired by the colors of a bygone decade, this winter staple is a must knit! The groovy stripe repeat and Aran weight gauge make this cowl fast, easy and fun to knit!
This cowl is designed as a moebius loop. Using a provisional cast on, you then knit a tube and finish by grafting together the ends.

11”/28 cm wide x 28” / 71 cm circumference
YARN
The Plucky Knitter Haven Aran
(100% Non-Superwash Merino;
195 yds/ 178 m per 100 g)
1 skein in each of 4 colors
OR
Aran weight yarn in the following amounts:
170 yds/ 155 m in each of Colors A, B and C and 35 yds/ 32 m of Color D
(You can also hold Worsted weight yarn together with a Suri or Mohair lace to achieve a similar gauge. Note that the yardage required will be for EACH yarn.)

NEEDLES
US 10 (6.00 mm) circular needles 16”/40 cm or size needed to obtain gauge, additional
US 10 (6.00 mm) for finishing cowl
GAUGE
15.5 sts x 22 rows per 4” /10cm in Stockinette stitch worked in the round, blocked
NOTES
This cowl begins with a provisional cast on, is knit in a tube, then is twisted to create a moebius and grafted together using Kitchener stitch.
