That Big Cowl With Lots of Yarns In It
From my booklet of 13 cowls, A Knaughty Dozen Little Cowls.
Republished in my new book, Knaughty Knitter Book of Cowls 2, as well as available individually.
Use a 24” circular needle in 11 or 13, depending on your base yarn. Uses 1 skein of base yarn and 200 or more yards total of other yarns.
This uses up scraps from your stash and is a soft and lovely way to dress up an outfit. It can be a bulky cowl or wear it around your shoulders for a warmer wrap.
For this use a chunky base yarn like Baby Alpaca Grande, Cascade 128, or Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Bulky. Add various yarns from your stash or the clearance shelf, such as mohair, silks, lace weight. You can use a lot of colors or stick to one section on the color wheel.
