That’s Belfast is an asymmetrical triangular shawl knit sideways from one tip to the opposite edge. It is a captivating blend of simple garter stitch, textured ridges and delicate lace. Lots of variety to hold your interest.

That’s Belfast comes in two sizes.
The shawl measures 72”/183 cm wide x 23”/58 cm deep.
The shawlette measures 55”/140 cm wide x 18”/46 cm deep.

You will receive 2 shawl patterns and 2 shawlette patterns.

Pattern 1 is a one-colour shawl knit from 2 - 100 g skeins.
Pattern 2 is a two-colour shawl knit from 2 contrasting 100 g skeins.
Pattern 3 is a one-colour shawlette knit from 1 - 100 g skein.
Pattern 4 is a two-colour shawlette knit from 2 - 50g skeins.

For the shawlette, by reversing the colours, you can make two shawls from two contrasting 100 g skeins. Perfect for twinning with your bestie!

In Patterns 1 and 3, instruction is included if you wish to add a pop-of-colour to Reverse Ridge pattern.

The pattern includes row-by-row instructions with stitch counts for every row, and handy tables to help you keep track of your progress.

A chart for the lace pattern is included. For side shaping, please refer to written pattern.

As a fun bonus you will also receive That’s Belfast Cuff pattern. There are three styles to choose from.

TIPS AND TRICKS is a separate 13-page PDF. It contains extra information on all the key details of the shawl, plus tips on yarn selection, gauge, correcting errors, blocking, and much more! Learn about Visual Row Tracking – my favourite way to count rows. As an experienced knitting instructor, I love to share helpful tips, and offer lots of advice!

SKILL LEVEL - Well within the capabilities of an adventurous beginner, but interesting enough for an experienced knitter to enjoy.
