Thayer Library Shawl
I originally received a shawl similar to this as a gift and unfortunately some moths found it and destroyed it. I loved it so much I decided to design one in crochet for myself.
The Thayer Library is in a town nearby where I live and it is everything you could ever hope a library could be. They have an amazing selection of books and movies, wonderful groups (including a knit and crochet group) and are even kind to outsiders like me! Since this is the perfect shawl for curling up with a good book, I had to name it after them.
This shawl is super beginner friendly and only utilizes hdcs and dcs. It uses a J hook so it works up quickly. This project was made using 5 balls of Lion Brand Yarns Heartland in the color Pinnacles. This will fit most sizes but you could go up a hook size to a K if you want a little larger shawl.
It is a wonderful pattern for a comfort shawl, a gift for a friend or relative along with one of your favorite books, or a gift for yourself.
I hope it inspires you to check out your local library and bring home a great read to curl up with after you make this.
