The 100 Square Blanket
The 100 Square Blanket is made up of 100 separate square crochet motifs. The pattern is worked with 10 different coloured yarns.
Each square should measure approximately 9.5cm x 9.5cm. If your square is not measuring near this then you may want to adjust your hook size. Gauge is not critical for this project, but it may affect the yarn quantities needed.
You will also need scissors and a darning needle to sew in the ends. You may also find stitch markers helpful.
A completed six round square should measure approximately 9.5cm by 9.5cm.
The finished blanket measures approximately 102 cm x 102 cm including the 7 round border. You could make this blanket bigger or smaller by adapting the number of squares. Don’t forget to adjust the yarn quantities if you do this.
Each square is crocheted in six rounds; the sixth round is worked using the join-as-you-go technique. Alternatively you can make each square separately and then sew or crochet the squares together at the end.
There are 100 squares in total, arranged in a 10 x 10 format.
