The 24 Days of Christmas Sock Ornaments MKAL 3
Welcome to the third annual 24 Days of Christmas Ornaments Knit Along! This knit along was inspired by the tradition of advent calendars leading up to Christmas Day. This holiday tradition allows the receiver to open up a new gift each day from December 1 - December 24 revealing a surprise inside. Your advent surprise each day during this mystery knit along will be a different sock ornament pattern for you to knit up and hang on your tree!
Here is how it works:
• Purchase this pattern before December 1, 2020
• After your purchase, you will receive a basic information sheet for the MKAL
• You will receive your first sock ornament pattern in your email on December 1
• After that, you will receive a new sock ornament pattern each day for a total of 24 days!
If you purchase the pattern after December 1, you will receive all the patterns that have been released thus far. If you purchase the pattern after December 24, you will receive all of the patterns included in the MKAL.
You may have purchased a yarn advent calendar from a yarn company this year which means you will have a new fiber gift to open each day. Now you will have a project to accompany your little skein of happiness after you open it! You can use the color you open that day to knit your daily sock ornament, or you can mix and match them as you go!
If you didn’t purchase an advent calendar this year, that’s okay too! Just use yarn you already have and knit up a new sock each day along with the rest of us! The important thing to remember is to enjoy the adventure!
The patterns included each day will all be different and may include different techniques and skills. These will all be explained in the pattern and will all be beginner/intermediate level. If you come across a pattern that seems too difficult or unfamiliar, feel free to skip it and make a previous day’s pattern or a vanilla sock. Or you can go for it and challenge yourself to learn something new!!
There will be one heel used for the patterns, a heel flap and gusset, or you can knit a different one that you like.
The toe will be worked the same for each pattern.
All patterns are written for double pointed needles but can easily be modified for magic loop.
All patterns are written cuff down.
Enjoy!
