This is a very straightforward asymmetric shawl pattern using lovely ombre shades from Scheepjes Whirl range.

Its a basic 10 row pattern repeat with increases and suitable for all knitters. It is called The 42 Shawl because there are 42 repeats of the pattern. Some knitters may find they have enough yarn remaining that they can make 43 repeats, but it depends on knitter tension and yardage of each particular dyelot.

The shawl has a beautiful soft feel and lovely drape and will be ideal for cool summer evenings or to accessorise a coat or jacket on colder days.

The yarn is a cotton/acrylic blend and will suit those people who find wool too itchy or irritating.

Its a very fine knit so will take a little time to finish, but it is very worth the effort.
