This is the second pattern in my series of 4 cable cowls. This piece is worked sideways, straight, with both ends seamed at the end. I again chose an unusual border pattern for the top and bottom of this cowl. The center cable is surrounded by a twisted stitch and reverse stockinette on each side. This is a more advanced design with intricate cabling. The two sections on each side consist of very simple and easy-to-memorize instructions, leaving you more focused to work on the center part.

I recommend using a light enough color yarn to be able to see the cables, and a yarn that is not drastically variegated. You can use worsted, aran, or bulky weight for this pattern. Gauge is not crucial.
Written instructions and chart provided in this pattern.

Once blocked, cowl size is approximately 10-11” X 25-26”.

Please, link your project to my pattern. I would love to see this cowl made with the other yarns/colors you may use.

The first cowl is called The 64.

I spend a lot of time checking and testing my design instructions. In the event you find something that doesn’t seem right, or if you have any questions, please contact me right away, and I will make sure to respond and/or fix it.

You can easily double the yarn amount, double the number of repeats, and create an infinity scarf that you can wrap around your neck twice for added warmth.
