The Albert
An old-school V-neck cardigan with a stranded colourwork back motif of an old-school physicist! I had fun designing the pattern and wearing the finished item about town.
The garment is worked top-down and in one piece for the most part - no seaming is required. You will work from side to side from the neck down and you should be comfortable with knitted stranded colourwork on purl rows as well as knit rows when it comes to the Albert motif which is charted for you. The sleeves are knit in the round.
Instructions are provided for a i-cord bind off for the front band with integrated button holes but, if you prefer, you can work a regular ribbed band with or without buttonholes.
The M size used 1 ball of CC yarn and 8 balls of MC yarn. A yardage estimate is provided for the other sizes; of which there are just 3 for this pattern, although I may expand the size options at a later date.
