Der The Alchemy Sweater wird nahtlos von oben nach unten gestrickt. Gestartet wird mit dem variablen Rollkragen. Danach wird die überschnittene Schulterpartie mittels der Contiguous-Methode geformt. Den Pullover ziert an den Schultern und an den Ärmeln ein Muster aus verschränkten Maschen.
Die Anleitung bietet die Möglichkeit den Rollkragen anhand einer vorab berechneten Tabelle zu stricken. Sollten die Maße für dich passen, kannst du einfach nach dieser Tabelle stricken. Andernfalls kannst du den Rollkragen sowie die davon abhängigen Schulterzunahmen anhand von Formeln errechnen.

Einige meiner Anleitungen sind von Taylor Swift Liedern inspiriert, so auch dieser Pullover. Ich habe mich von dem Album „The Tortured Poets Department“ inspirieren lassen; der Pullover ist in seinen neutralen Farben an die düstere Stimmung des Albums angelehnt. Den Namen hat der Pullover durch den Song „The Alchemy“ bekommen. Den Namen finde ich sehr passend, da man sich mit ein paar Formeln seinen eigenen Rollkragenpullover „zaubern“ kann.

The „The Alchemy Sweater“ is knitted seamlessly from the top down. The pattern starts with the variable turtleneck. The dropped shoulder yoke is then shaped using the contiguous method. The sweater is decorated with a pattern of interlaced stitches on the shoulders and sleeves.
The instructions offer the option of knitting the turtleneck using a pre-calculated chart. If the measurements suit you, you can simply knit according to this chart. Otherwise, you can use formulas to calculate the turtleneck and the shoulder increases that depend on it.

Some of my patterns are inspired by Taylor Swift songs, including this sweater. I was inspired by the album “The Tortured Poets Department”; the sweater’s neutral colors are based on the dark mood of the album. The sweater got its name from the song “The Alchemy”. I find the name very fitting, as you can “conjure up” your own turtleneck sweater with a few formulas.
