This pattern is lovely! Delicate. Classic. Everything that I adore in a mitten is here. This pattern came about as a thank-you to my cousin Alexa for loving my girls and spreading joy!

Some of things I adore about this pattern:

It utilizes the “afterthought thumb” technique. No gusset.

It is a universal mitten pattern, meaning you can make two of the same mitten and they will interchangeably fit either hand. I have; however, written separate thumb insert instructions for right and left as I feel each mitten lays a bit nicer when differentiated in this way. Both mittens follow the same pattern EXCEPT for the thumb insert portions.

Row gauge is not a concern, as you cant knit the piece to your desired length.
