The crochet pattern is called “The Ambleside Toque”. This hat is named after Ambleside Park located in beautiful West Vancouver, British Columbia. People come from all over to enjoy the sandy beaches and walk the popular seawall, which runs along the shores of the Burrard Inlet. This is one of my favourite spots to run or just grab a coffee and take in the views. From the park you have spectacular views of Stanley Park, the Lions Gate Bridge, Vancouver Island, and on clear days you can even see Mount Baker down in Washington State. On really windy days you will also find people surfing and kite boarding down at the beach.

This pattern is easy to read and comes with lots of additional photos and notes to help you along the way.

This hat is quick and easy to make and can be completed in a few hours.

This hat is a great crochet project for yourself, or you can make as many hats as you like and give them out as gifts. You never have to give someone a present they already have when you can give them something unique you made yourself. Get creative and make multiple hats in countless colour combinations.
