The Amphitrite Cowl
Some cowls are worn for style. Others for warmth. This cowl has the best of both worlds. Featuring the Woven Shell Stitch, which I first glimpsed in Sarah Hazell’s Crochet Stitch Dictionary (it seems I just can’t put that book down). Though the pattern calls for worsted weight yarn, the resulting cowl is squishy and luxurious.
I had to try this stitch from the moment I saw it. The gorgeous texture, coupled with the unexpected edging it creates told me that it would deserve to stand alone. I never get bored of this stitch because it really is quite fun to make.
This pattern comes with a full picture tutorial to help you learn the Woven Shell stitch.
