Inspired by Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry Viii. A practical interpretation of her Tudor dresses represented in her portraits with its square neckline, pearl beading on the neckline, oversized bishop sleeves, a lace leaf panel, feminine shaping, and peplum to suggest the skirt of the dresses.
Construction
The blouse is knitted bottom up in the round, once the armpit is reached the blouse is then separated and the front and back are knitted separately flat. The front and back straps are joined together with a three needle bind off and the sleeves and peplum are picked up and knitted top down.
Level
Intermediate - I believe any technique can be achieved at any level with practice and the development of muscle memory. Attempt the things that seem difficult and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.
