This is an interwoven crochet design (also known as locking filet crochet, intermeshing, or other names). With this pattern I’m introducing an new twist on interwoven: single clustered interwoven crochet, that works with clusters of 1 and more double crochets right next to each other. Tutorials for this are on my website, accompanied by videos on my YouTube channel.

This is especially designed with the Scheepjes Our Tribe yarn in mind, but doing this in other Scheepjes yarns works as well.

Options
The pattern is given is a way that you can easily make the pattern wider or smaller. The shawl is made in a way that it will get very airy and drapy (with the ‘large squares’ variation), but I also provide instructions for making this with the ‘regular/small squares’ variation, and even the instructions for regular interwoven without the clusters. So there are a lot of options to use this.

My choice for color 1 was 975 Canadutch, the dark yarn, and for color 2 967 Simy, the light yarn.

For 1 repeat of the pattern you will use about 46 grams of color 2 and 73 grams of color 1.
1 Repeat is about 83 cm wide and 33 cm long. For a shawl with a length of 165 cm (5 repeats) you will need 365 grams of color 1 (4 balls) and 230 grams of color 2 (3 balls).

Het patroon is zo gegeven dat je het makkelijk smaller of breder kunt maken. De sjaal is zo gemaakt dat het hel luchtig en soepel wordt (met de ‘grote hokjes’ variant), maar ik geef ook instructies voor de ‘reguliere/smalle hokjes’ variant, en ook de instructies voor gewoon interwoven zonder de clusters. Dus er zijn flink wat opties voor dit patroon.

Mijn keuze voor kleur 1 was 975 Canadutch, het donkere garen en voor kleur 2 967 Simy, het lichte garen.

Voor 1 herhaling van het patroon verbruik je ongeveer 46 gram van kleur 2 en 73 gram van kleur 1.
1 Herhaling is ca 83 cm breed en 33 cm hoog. Voor een sjaal van ca 165 cm (5 herhalingen) heb je dan 365 gram van kleur 1 (4 bollen) en 230 gram van kleur 2 nodig (3 bollen).
