The Asterism Beanie is a beginner pattern that uses the linen stitch and three colours to produce a dense fabric, perfect as a unisex beanie and for using up all those yarn scraps!

The pattern was inspired by the release of the Malabrigo Zodiac collection in their worsted weight Rios yarn. It utilises the three colours of the main zodiac signs, our sun, moon, and rising signs. Of course you can combine any three colours in your chosen yarn weight, or even try your hand at using a single colour or more than three!

The pattern is written for five yarn weights: worsted, light bulky, bulky, light super bulky and super bulky with the option to make with a standard or folded brim.

The Asterism beanie is a tight fitting beanie and the fabric created using linen stitch for the body of the beanie creates a density that is sure to keep out the most bitter winter winds! The shape and fit is also ideally suited for use as a unisex beanie.
