Garment description:

Every year as August rolls around, I design something to celebrate my birthday. The August Vest was last year’s. I began experimenting with basic lace knitting and incorporating other elements to my designs, such as buttons. The vest is knitted top-down in a seamless construction and is a perfect introduction to lace knitting. It is by far my sweetest and most romantic design, with a beautiful diamond and eyelet lace running along the spine. It’s perfect to wear on its own or layered on top of a long-sleeve - I always know I’ll receive compliments when I take it out for a spin!

Sizing:

This pattern has been written and tested for 9 sizes. Measure yourself at the widest part of your bust and choose your size accordingly, see photo 5 for each size’s bust circumference. If you are between sizes, I recommend you choose the closest one to you!

The garment has approx. 2.5-7.5 cm/1-3 in of positive ease.

Sizes G-I (132-158 cm/52-62 in) were written but not tested. They are included in the pattern as I believe they are correctly graded after the feedback on the other tested sizes. If you are unsure and would like to knit these sizes, please reach out to me.
