This pattern was created because I was looking for a simple cable pattern that would fit the yarn and colours I was working with that would also showcase how great the stitch definition of this yarn really is. As it knit up, it had me reminiscing about autumn walks and drives through paths of rich colours, which is how these socks got their name.

This pattern is excellent for beginners to cables.

Sizes XS, S, M, L

The pattern was written for toe up construction, but I have also included instructions for cuff down if one prefers.
These socks can be knit one or two at a time.

the original heel was knit as a German Short Row but can be substituted for a shadow wrap or FLKH if preferred.
