The Avocado Square
For my avocado squares, I used what some call a “deconstructed” Caron Cake; meaning, I took various Caron Cakes and cut each stripe/color into its own ball of yarn. For the tan, light green, and dark green of the avocado itself as well as the olive border, I used the Poached Pear colorway. For the background area in between the avocado and the olive border, I used different colors from the Cinnamon Swirl and Blueberry Parfait colorways. However, you can use any type of Weight 4 (Aran) yarn and this square will come out beautiful!
This avocado square could be made into an afghan, a pillow, a purse, a potholder, or any number of delightful things! I will be designing some patterns using this square and releasing them in the future on my Ravelry store, TheSpareRoomShop, and on my Etsy page, SpareRoomStationery. Please contact me through either of these platforms if you have any questions about using this pattern, and I will be happy to help!
